The Value of Innovation

Innovation can bring real solutions to America's challenges. Americans deserve first-rate schools, health care, and retirement security. Americans also deserve a sound economy and national security. Many of today's politicians work to win elections by trying to buy the voters with exciting new "free programs." Most citizens understand however that there’s no such thing as a "free lunch," and that these programs really aren’t free. These "wonderful" new programs will be provided by government that isn't efficient, and brings one size fits all solutions. In the end, these programs will cost them more than if they had just solved their own problems. These programs will also leave Americans drastically less choice. Piling on more big government spending is the slow road to failure. Tapping individual initiative is the only route to success. My campaign will seek innovative solutions, that work to unleash the entrepreneurial spirit that made this country the best.

Our campaign goals for America

America is great... but there's a feeling we're drifting away from our founding principals. The primary objective of my campaign will be to make the government constitutional again, make it more efficient, and give citizens back their personal and economic freedoms. To accomplish these objectives, my campaign will focus on the following goals:

National Security

I will work to downsize the war. We need to put Americans first. We need to bring our troops home as soon as possible, so they can protect our own homeland.

• I believe in a strong national defense... Where offensive force is only used as a last resort.
• Securing the Iraqi nation is the job of the Iraqi citizens. Securing our own nation, AND the nation of Iraq, is bankrupting our nation.
• American national security will be much stronger when we are using our resources and troops here at home.

Economic Security

I will work to downsize out of control government spending. We need to put taxpayers first. We need to allow Americans to keep the money they earn, and choose the services they are willing to voluntarily pay for.

• The only way to bring efficiency to government is to make it compete for citizen's money.
• I will only support budgets that are balanced.
• It's time for government to be honest. I support making all government taxation and spending records available to the public online.
• I also support the, "Read the Bills Act," which would require all lawmakers to certify that they have fully read each bill before they vote on it.

First-rate Schools, Health care, and Retirement Security

I will work to advance innovative policies that allow citizens choices in Education, Health care, and Retirement Security. Only through freedom of choice and market competition can these services become affordable, and beneficial to all citizens. By limiting government interference and growing personal and economic freedom, we make our world a healthier, happier place.

• The federal government can help play a role in Education by improving infrastructure... not by enlarging it's own bureaucracy and mandates to local schools. Creating an internet based infrastructure of online educational materials, by the best and brightest teachers, would allow drastic efficiency and cost savings to local communities.
• Health care also needs an infrastructure of online information... one source that would allow citizens of any state, to compare medical provider's prices, see patient ratings, and purchase health plans that are portable. I support tax free Medical savings accounts with major medical coverage.
• The retirement security system needs to be converted to an independent agency. The funds need to be independently controlled and managed. Government must be banned from borrowing these funds. Each citizen deserves to own and control their own account.
